6 trends we are loving this spring

Yes, it’s that time of the year again – time to stock up on new spring fashion. Not sure what to pick? This cheat sheet will help you nail your looks for the season.

spring outfits for men and women

1. Hello yellow!

That’s right. Yellow, or mustard to be exact, is a key look for spring 2019 fashion. You could opt for a pretty top that ties at the waist, or a shirt dress in a midi length. Throw on some boots and you’re good to go. Don’t want to commit fully yet? Then a basic tee in the shade is a great option.

2. It all ties in

Talking of tops that tie at the waist, we’ve got a whole lot of tie-up styles dropping. In fact, we’re seeing tie-ups being used in many different ways. They’re used to fasten sleeves or collars and cinch a pair of paperbag trousers or a shirt dress. Check out this trend here now. Psst…we absolutely love styling a tie-up top like this with a headband for a retro look.

3. Embroidery rules

The 90s fashion throwback continues with the modern hippy look, and the embroidered styles that have landed this spring perfectly capture that vibe. Big floral patterns, textured cording and tassel details are very now – but they’re also staples that will look gorgeous any season.

4. Dark florals dominate

This winter trend continues well into the new season, but you can keep it fresh by playing with shorter lengths and separates. We love the moody romance of this short shirt dress or this top

5. Check in, gentlemen

It’s business as usual for the lads, but with a spring 2019 twist. Muted neutrals like grey, olive and white dominate the men’s palette, with shirts coming in soft chambray, denim or cotton. Classic boxy checks have made a comeback while typography tees still rule – nothing’s changed there.

6. Kids in candy colours

We’re calling this look for our little ones Farmers’ Market – and it’s all about easy styles in the deep hues of colourful market ware. There’s watermelon coral, deep tangerine and leafy green – all thrown on to rustic frilly dresses, pinafores, cargo shorts, button-down shirts and more. Explore out our spring arrivals for girls and for boys to get a feel of this look.
